Admissions & Eligibility Requirements

 To enroll in the MRI Technologist Program at Aquarius Institute, you must meet with an admissions counselor, provide a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a valid form of identification, and be at least 18 years of age.

Ultrasound & MRI Program Specifics

 The Ultrasound Program at Aquarius Institute is an 18-month program consisting of 12 months of hybrid coursework followed by 6 months of clinical internship and registry preparation.

The primary difference between the Ultrasound and MRI programs is the imaging modalities they cover. Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images and requires the sonographer to actively move a transducer over the patient’s body during the examination. MRI uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to create highly detailed images by positioning the patient inside an MRI scanner and operating the imaging equipment.

The MRI program covers  Human Anatomy & Physiology along with Medical Terminology to introduce the students to foundational concepts of Human Body in Health & Illness. The MRI program then offers MRI Safety,  MRI Physics, and  MRI Cross-Sectional Anatomy courses to prepare students for their board exams and clinical internships.

All programs at Aquarius Institute include hundreds of hours of hands-on laboratory training and clinical internships as part of the educational requirements for each program.

Specifically for MRI Program student is introduced to Un Limited One Year Access to MRI Simulation Software called Corsmed MRI Simulator

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, pass an entrance assessment, and meet health and background check requirements.

 The programs at Aquarius Institute are offered in an evening format, with classes held two nights per week from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Aquarius Institute provides coverage for books and other required supplies for students. In addition, the institute offers support services such as reimbursement for registry exam fees.

 Students receive a Certificate of Completion upon finishing the Ultrasound Program at Aquarius Institute. This credential allows graduates to pursue the Registered Cardiac Sonographer exam through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). With additional support from the institution, graduates may also be eligible to take the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification exams.

Students will receive a certificate of completion that makes them eligible for the ARMRIT registry exam.
