Ultrasound/ Sonography Technician

Description:

This is a 300 hours comprehensive ultrasound course. Having completed this course the student will have sufficient knowledge to work as a diagnostic Ultrasound Technician with Abdominal & Echo specialty at Ultrasound/Sonography center or Hospital’s Sonography Dept. As an Ultrasound Technician, routine tasks include registration of patients, setting up appointments, operating the systems and perform ultrasound procedures. The course provides sufficient theory and practical knowledge so as to enable the students to challenge a National CCI Certification Examination. Upon the completion of 300 hours of training the Institute will conduct a comprehensive exam and those who will get a minimum of 70% score & above will be awarded the Certificate of Completion from the Institution. The refund policy will be based on the 300 hours of training.
It will be student’s responsibility to complete a minimum of 800 hours of clinical internship at a clinic or ultrasound diagnostic department / mobile unit. The Institute will refer students to such clinics or ultrasound diagnostic department / mobile unit.


Vocational Objectives:

This course has been designed to meet the increasing demand of Ultrasound Sonographers in the field of Diagnostic Medicine. According to present job market analysis a large number of trained people are required in the medical technologist field. Objective of this course is to provide efficient and well trained Sonographers to satisfy the present day job market needs.


Training Objectives:

Having completed this course the student will have sufficient knowledge and skills to work in an Ultrasound Sonography center or Hospital’s Sonography Dept. as Ultrasound Technician with Abdominal & Echo specialty.


Admission Requirements:

Minimum High school Diploma or GED.
Visual Acuity, Hearing Acuity, speaking ability, Digital Dexterity and Physical Ability.
Should have a reliable means of transport.

1.Minimum High school Diploma or GED.
2. Certain Health Restrictions as demanded by the course.
